Chiffon Cake Recipe

A classic sponge recipe to add to your baking repertoire. A tall, tender, light and fluffy sponge. An elegant, sweet sponge that doesn't contain any butter, it get's it richness from eggs, oil and milk.

100g Plain Flour
1⁄2 tsp (Scant) Baking Powder
1⁄2 tsp (Scant) Sea Salt
5 Egg Whites
1⁄2 tsp (Scant) Cream of Tartar
40g + 55g Caster Sugar
5 Egg Yolks
40g Vegetable Oil
65g Whole Milk
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Icing Sugar for Dusting
